Is it mandatory for all the hindus to be vegetarian?
The concept of Ahinsa, non-violence, encourages Hindus to refrain from eating meat. However, thereis no Hindu commandment against meat eating; it is believed that you are what you eat. In other words, the quality of yourcharacter is shaped by the type of food you eat. However, many Hindus eat meat, but there are more vegetarians among Hindus than in any other religious group.
